Your personal data shared with TURKSALT is protected by our company. Our company implements the necessary technical and administrative measures to ensure that your personal data is stored securely and processed in accordance with Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data.
As TURKSALT, we would like to inform you about our communications, our practices regarding the processing of your Personal Data, and your rights under the Law on the Protection of Personal Data.
Who is responsible for your personal information?
TURKSALT refers to its existing and/or future domestic and/or foreign affiliates, subsidiaries, joint ventures, and all of their branches and offices. In its capacity as the “Data Controller” as defined under Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”), TURKSALT processes your personal data as explained below and within the limits prescribed by applicable legislation.
Collection, Processing and Purposes of Processing Personal Data
Your personal data may vary depending on the services and commercial activities provided by TURKSALT and may be collected verbally, in writing or electronically through automated or non-automated methods, TURKSALT units and offices, the website, social media channels, mobile applications and similar means. Your personal data may be processed by being created and updated for as long as you benefit from the products and services offered by TURKSALT.
In addition, your personal data may be processed when you use our call centers or website in order to use TURKSALT services, when you visit our website, or when you participate in events organized by TURKSALT.
Your collected personal data will be processed within the personal data processing conditions and purposes specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the KVKK for purposes including carrying out the necessary work by our business units so that you may benefit from products and services offered by TURKSALT; customizing and recommending products and services offered by TURKSALT according to your preferences, usage habits and needs; ensuring the legal and commercial security of persons who have a business relationship with TURKSALT; and determining and implementing commercial and business strategies.
To Whom and for What Purposes Processed Personal Data May Be Transferred
Your collected personal data may, within the framework of the personal data processing conditions and purposes specified in Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK, be transferred to our business partners, suppliers, authorized persons, shareholders, legally authorized public institutions and private persons for purposes including carrying out the necessary work by our business units so that you may benefit from products and services offered by TURKSALT; customizing and recommending TURKSALT products and services according to your preferences, usage habits and needs; ensuring the legal and commercial security of persons who have a business relationship with TURKSALT; and determining and implementing commercial and business strategies.
Method and Legal Basis of Personal Data Collection
Your personal data is obtained in all kinds of verbal, written or electronic environments for the purposes stated above, so that the products and services we provide as the Company can be offered within the determined legal framework and so that our Company can fully and accurately fulfill its contractual and statutory obligations. Personal data collected on this legal basis may also be processed and transferred for the purposes stated in items (1) and (2) of this text within the scope of the personal data processing conditions and purposes specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the KVKK.
Links to websites of other providers
Our website may contain links to websites of other providers. TURKSALT states that the directly linked websites were free of legal violations when the links were established. However, TURKSALT has no influence over the content of linked websites and cannot continuously monitor them. Therefore, TURKSALT accepts no responsibility for the content of linked websites that is changed after the link is created. This data protection agreement does not apply to linked websites of other providers.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your computer and saved by your browser. Cookies do not harm your computer and do not contain computer viruses. TURKSALT uses cookies to make the website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Our cookies do not contain information relating to specific individuals. The cookies we use are referred to as “session cookies” and are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Rights of the Personal Data Subject
Pursuant to Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the following rights: (i) to learn whether personal data is being processed; (ii) to request information if personal data has been processed; (iii) to learn the purpose of processing personal data and whether it is used in accordance with that purpose; (iv) to know the third parties to whom personal data is transferred domestically or abroad; (v) to request correction of personal data if it has been processed incompletely or inaccurately; (vi) to request deletion or destruction of personal data within the framework of the conditions set out in Article 7; (vii) to request notification of the transactions carried out pursuant to subparagraphs (d) and (e) to third parties to whom personal data has been transferred; (viii) to object to the occurrence of a result against the person arising from analysis of processed data exclusively by automated systems; and (ix) to request compensation for damages in the event of loss suffered due to unlawful processing of personal data.
If, as personal data subjects, you submit your requests regarding your rights to our Company using the methods set out below in this Personal Data Processing Information Notice, our Company will conclude the request free of charge within thirty days at the latest, depending on the nature of the request. However, if a fee is prescribed by the Personal Data Protection Board, the fee in the tariff determined by our Company will be charged.
You may submit your questions and requests regarding your personal data by a petition prepared in accordance with the conditions specified in the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller, or through the CONTACT Form using the methods specified in the form. You can access the application form from the CONTACT PAGE. In order to exercise the rights stated above, the necessary information identifying you must be provided. Pursuant to Article 4 of the KVKK, TURKSALT is required to keep your personal data accurate and, where necessary, up to date. In this context, in order for TURKSALT to fulfill its obligations arising from applicable legislation, our customers must share accurate and, where necessary, up-to-date data with TURKSALT. If your data changes in any way, please contact us through the communication channels stated below to update your data.
“Personal Written Application”: Data subjects who apply by this method are required to present documents verifying their identity. Accordingly, for personal written applications to KORGUN OSB MAH DİLAVER BALBAY BULV NO 13 KORGUN ÇANKIRI, we kindly request that only the front side of a copy of the identity document be submitted together with the application form, in a manner that does not display the blood type and religion fields.
Personal data is collected electronically from customers. Personal data collected for the legal reasons stated above may be processed and transferred for the purposes specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the Law, in this Information Notice and, where explicit consent is required, in the Consent Text.
