Rock Salt Container Loading Checklist

Container loading is one of the most important control points after production. A poor container, count error or weak loading record can create a commercial dispute even when the product itself meets specification.
Inspect the empty container
Check internal surfaces, floor, door seals, odour, moisture marks, holes and visible damage before loading. Questionable equipment should be raised with the carrier.
Match SKUs and lots to the loading list
Product codes, lots, bag counts and pallet counts should match the draft packing list.
Manage weight and distribution
Salt is dense, so total gross weight and load distribution require planning. Carrier and road restrictions should also be confirmed.
Create a loading record
Container number, loading-stage photographs, pallet/bag arrangement and the final view before door closure can be retained as shipment evidence.
