Distributors may combine several salt products or pack sizes in one container to spread inventory investment. Mixed loads can be useful, but production and logistics are more complex than a single-SKU shipment.

Freeze the SKU list early

A reliable loading plan requires pack size, granulation and pallet quantity for every SKU. Late changes can reduce container utilization.

Calculate weight and volume together

Because salt is dense, payload can be a key constraint. Carton and pallet dimensions also affect usable volume.

Plan by pallet

Net/gross pallet weight and dimensions make mixed-container planning more predictable. Floor-loaded mixed cargo may require a separate unloading plan.

Documents and lot control

Packing lists should clearly identify quantities by SKU and batch. Product-specific quality documents should be matched to the relevant items.
